OurApps Privacy Policy
This policy covers OurSpending, OurHome Checklist, and OurHome Kids, collectively referred to as OurApps.
Information We Store
OurApps stores the information needed to operate each app. This includes:
- Account credentials (email and password, stored securely through Firebase Authentication)
- Household membership and household configuration
- App-specific data such as transactions, checklist completions, daily tasks, kid profiles, and assignments
- Device-local preferences and settings stored on your device
OurHome Kids supports anonymous sign-in for child devices. No email or personal information is required from a child. Child devices are linked to a household through a parent-provided code only.
How Information Is Used
Information is used solely to operate the apps, support shared household features, process subscriptions, and improve product reliability. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Data Storage
Household and account data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication). Device-local data is stored on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms and is not transmitted unless you are signed into a household account.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account from within the app. Account deletion removes your authentication record and household membership. For households with no remaining active members, household data is also removed. If you need assistance with account deletion, email us directly.
Children
OurHome Kids is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian. Child devices use anonymous authentication and do not require a child to provide any personal information. Parents manage all child profiles and household linking from OurHome Checklist.
